IPL or Intense Pulsed Light is used to address the various layers of skin damage. This may include redness, uneven pigmentation, small red veins, pores and overall appearance of the skin.
How does IPL work?
The IPL light is initially attracted to the most visible targets such as pigmentation and redness. It takes about 4 weeks for that top layer to complete the cell turnover. IPL also helps heat up the deeper layers of the skin stimulating it to produce new collagen. Additional treatments continue working on collagen remodelling, plumping, tightening and overall skin rejuvenation. You may see an improvement after your first treatment. The recommenened number of treatments will depend on the skin type and amount of damage.
Patch test for skin sensitivity is required 48 hours prior to treatment.
