What are semi permanent brows?
Semi permanent brows are an advanced form of cosmetic enhancement tattooing. Using a digital device to great the perfect shape.
What is involved during the procedure?
I will carefully measure and shape. A template is drawn directly onto the skin so you can see shape and symmetry. We look at color and decide which would compliment your skin and hair color. A numbing gel is applied to make sure the process is as comfortable as possible.
The chosen colour pigment is inserted into the top layer of the skin using fine needles in either feathered hair strokes, powdered shading or a mixture of both depending on the style of brow that is desired. It’s important to note that this procedure does not effect your natural hair growth or color and you still may need to remove unwanted hairs or maintain shape by waxing, tinting etc.
What is the difference between semi-permanent make up brows and microblading?
Semi-permanent brows or micropigmentation unlike microblading, is performed using a 3D digital machine and different shaped and sized hand-held needle cartridges. This allows me to carefully design your brows with a more personal touch, using different techniques such as shading, to create a combination of techniques such as hair strokes and powdered brows.
What will they look like after?
Your brows will be 30% – 40% darker immediately afterwards. Over the next 7-14 days the brows will gradually heal, and in turn lighten and appear more natural.
How many sessions are needed?
This treatment needs 2 sessions depending on your skin type and general aftercare. There is a minimum of 4 weeks between sessions.
Will it hurt?
I will apply a numbing gel before and during the treatment to make it as comfortable as possible.
How long does it last?
Depending on the client’s skin type, aftercare and sun exposure Anywhere between 1- 2 years
What is involved in the aftercare?
Aftercare will be provided at the consultation which is done on the day of the first session.
Clients must allow the brows to heal naturally for 10 days. Make up, skin creams and perfumes will need to be avoided in the brow area for the duration of this healing period.
Facial treatments, saunas, steam rooms, jacuzzis and swimming pools must be avoided for 2 weeks.
